The programme is designed to support personal and professional growth, offers dedicated time and space to reflect, build confidence, strengthen leadership capability, and navigate challenges with greater clarify and resilience.

Who can apply?
The coaching programme is open to all general practice staff across Dorset.
Is there a cost to take part?
No. The coaching programme is fully funded, so there is no cost to individuals or practices.
What does the coaching programme include?
Participants will receive six one-to-one coaching sessions. Each session lasts one hour and sessions are usually held monthly, although timings can be flexible depending on individual needs and coach availability.
Do I need approval from my line manager?
You only need line manager approval if you plan to attend coaching sessions during your normal working hours.
What happens if all places are filled?
Places are limited. Once all available places have been allocated, additional applicants will be added to a waiting list and contacted if a space becomes available.
Is coaching confidential?
Yes. Coaching provides a safe and confidential space to reflect, explore challenges and focus on your personal or professional development.

Who delivers the coaching?
Dorset has developed a strong coaching faculty over the last 18 months, providing access to many qualified and experienced coaches. Within the faculty, there are also qualified and experienced mentors.
