The Dorset Primary Care Training Hub currently runs a programme to support newly qualified and new-to-practice nurses in primary care.
We are looking for experienced General Practice Nurses (GPNs) to become Legacy Mentors.
What will you do?
As a Legacy Mentor, you will:
- Support 2 mentees with up to 10 hours of mentoring each month.
- Join a monthly 1-hour mentor catch-up with the Professional Nurse Lead and Programme Manager.
- Take part in quarterly 3-hour development and coaching sessions to support your own CPD.
- Share your knowledge, experience, and expertise to help colleagues grow in confidence and develop their skills.

We’re looking for GPNs who:
- Have strong clinical experience and current or recent primary care experience.
- Have excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Are passionate about supporting and developing others.
Pay & Commitment
- £25 per hour
- 11 hours per month
- Plus 3 hours quarterly for CPD and development
