Sam Hackett
Sarcoma Nurse Specialist & Health Care Professional Engagement Lead, Sarcoma UK
Sam Hackett is an experienced Sarcoma Nurse Specialist with over 25 years in oncology care. She has worked at Sarcoma UK for 11 years, where she established the Sarcoma UK Support Line in 2016. Previously, she was a Clinical Nurse Specialist at The Royal Marsden Hospital (1998–2015) and worked on the TCT Unit at UCLH, bringing extensive expertise in sarcoma and patient support.
Helen Platts
Helen is a Dorset GP and GP Advisor for the Wessex Cancer Alliance with a specialist interest in early cancer diagnosis, primary care oncology and lifestyle medicine.
Alongside her clinical work, she brings lived experience as a patient having been diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma having completed treatment in 2020.
