Introduction to Diabetes for Practice Nurses

Introduction: This live-online, instructor led course is aimed at Practice Nurses who may be new to Primary Care and have not worked with patients with Diabetes.
Learning Outcomes:

- Risk factors
- History taking
- Diagnostic tests
- Treatment – pharmacological (basics) and non-pharmacological
- Supporting self-management
- Recognising and managing poor control.

Bev has an enviable mix of theory and practice when it comes to her role as both health care professional and clinical lecturer. She is a nurse practitioner/ prescriber working in a rural practice in the Cotswolds, where she is the clinical lead for COPD, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, stroke, hypertension and smoking cessation.
