Exploring Spirituality

The training aims are:

• To gather prompts and resources with which attendees can engage patients on the subject of Spirituality
• Give an opportunity to explore our own Spirituality
• Consider how our Spirituality differs from that of others
• Help attendees to reflect on how our individual Spirituality impacts on the Spiritual care of our patients

This three hour session will give you an understanding of the meaning of spirituality. It will also aim to give you the tools to help patients meet their own spirituality need and how we can embed these into our practice. This course focuses on caring for people who are nearing the end of their life, however, these values can be applied to all healthcare settings.

This course is suitable for all health and social care staff working wit individuals at end of life: for example, allied health professionals, care home staff, social carers, domiciliary care staff, etc.
