Symptom Management in Palliative & End of Life Care

A two day course in symptom control in end of life care suitable for GPs, DNs, RNs and AHPs
The course is suitable for staff working with people in end of life care. You will have the opportunity to explore in more detail some of the common symptoms experienced in end of life care.
Topics include:
- Pain assessment and management
- Palliative emergencies
- Breathlessness
- Agitation
- Nutrition and hydration and nausea and vomiting.
The study days are facilitated by various members of the multi-disciplinary team at Weldmar Hospicecare Trust. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions are investigated and discussed.
