Introduction: Suitable for Practice Nurses and Allied Health Professionals, This comprehensive 3-day workshop is designed to update your knowledge and practical skills in managing common minor illnesses and clinical conditions you encounter in your everyday practice.

Lesson Aim: As a healthcare professional, staying up-to-date with the latest management strategies for minor illnesses is crucial. This workshop is tailored to help you confidently address a wide range of common clinical conditions, ensuring improved patient care and outcomes.

Content:

Day 1:

  • Respiratory Tract Presentations
  • Red/Painful Eye Conditions
  • Neck and Back Pain Management

Day 2:

  • Ear Conditions
  • Acute Abdominal Pain
  • Gynaecological Issues

Day 3:

  • Headaches
  • Mental Health Concerns
  • Skin Conditions

 

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the session the delegate will be able to:

  • Conduct a targeted patient history to aid in effective diagnosis and management
  • Gain a deeper understanding of common minor illnesses and their treatment options
  • Identify red flag signs and symptoms and escalate appropriately.

 

Important information:

This training will be run over Zoom from an account owned by the Trainer and NOT Wessex LMCs. To participate you will need to install Zoom on your device, ensure it has a microphone, speaker, and camera.

Please Note: Delegate participation is essential.  Some trainers will no longer allow you to stay on the call if you do not have your camera operating without good reason. If this is the case you will not be reimbursed.
