Bladder and kidney cancers affect more than 20,000 people each year across the UK. Earlier diagnosis is associated with significantly better treatment options and improved survival, making timely recognition in primary care essential. As patients often present with non-specific or common urinary symptoms, primary care teams play a pivotal role in identifying those at risk, initiating appropriate investigations, and making timely referrals in line with national guidance.

Through case-based discussion, this webinar will explore the latest guidance on recognising red flag symptoms, assessing risk, arranging appropriate investigations, and using urgent referral pathways to facilitate earlier diagnosis.

• Recognise the signs and symptoms of bladder and kidney cancer, including patients presenting with recurrent urinary tract infections and haematuria.
• Apply current NICE guidance as well as the HIOW Non-visible haematuria guidance to support appropriate investigation and referral.
