A full-day workshop for GPs

(part of our ‘Permission to Take Control’ series) 

PREMISE

GPs are under great pressure to do more and more. There are lots of practical solutions here to allow you to be more productive so you can get more done and improve your work-life balance. We focus on the behaviour of you as an individual GP.

WORKSHOP

• What does the Productive GP look like? How am I doing?
• Beliefs, behaviours and productivity – assertiveness, saying no, procrastination
• Principles of time management
• E-mail management
• Using IT to maximise productivity
• Delegation and the value of systems
• Productivity in consultations
• Personal action planning and evaluation

SUMMARY

Following this workshop, GPs will have a clear sense of how they can be more productive in their daily work and will have examined how their beliefs and behaviours impact on their productivity The GPs will have learnt greater skills to delegate appropriately and have identified ways in which their consultations could be more productive

TRAINER

The programme will be led by Steve Blades who is an experienced GP with extensive clinical leadership and management experience. He now works mainly as a trainer and executive coach. He has substantial experience of coaching individuals and teams, and has led a number of successful leadership development programmes in the past.
