Sexual & Reproductive Health Study Day

SRH essentials course
 SRH Essentials for Practice Nurses is a one-day, interactive course for nurses working in primary care and other community settings. If you would like to build your knowledge and skills in sexual and reproductive healthcare, this course is for you.

At the end of the full day’s course you will be able to:

  • Perform a pregnancy risk assessment
  • Discuss all methods of Emergency Contraception and can offer/refer for the appropriate method
  • Introduce contraception and sexual health into consultations, even when your patient isn’t expecting it
  • Appraise risks, side effects and benefits of contraceptive methods
  • Demonstrate how to reissue the COC, POP, injection
  • Perform a sexual health risk assessment and decide which STI tests to offer your patients

How much does it cost? How do I pay for an SRH Essentials course?

£60 (includes, teaching, materials, refreshments)

Do I get recognition for CPD?

Yes! Attending an SRH Essentials course will give you 6 hours of recognized FSRH CPD training which you can include in your training portfolio. We will send you a certificate of attendance once we have confirmation from your trainer that you completed the course.

Do I get any hand outs to take away with me after the training?

Yes! Training materials will be made available to you to use during the course and as a useful reminder of your learning.
