This one-day course will suit recently appointed Practice Managers who are new to the NHS, deputy Practice Managers or those aspiring to be Practice Managers. It will provide information and support to understand the key areas which need to be addressed when managing a busy and successful practice.
Content of the day:
- Workforce Management
- Partnerships
- Finance
- Business Planning and Processes
- Unlocking the potential of IT
- Health and Safety
- The future of primary care and ongoing support for the management of the practice
- Involving patients and service delivery
Due to the wide content of the day, there is not able to be depth in all areas. However, delegates will receive a fully informative manual with lots of resources in to refer to on the day and in the future.
Feedback from courses:
“My member of staff went on the introduction to practice management course last year and as well as finding it very enjoyable and informative it has given her a completely different perspective on some of the complexities of running general practice and has improved her performance. She now has greater job satisfaction in knowing that she is very instrumental in the successful achievement of the areas of work she is involved in. We have now promoted another member of staff to Patient Services Manager which basically means that she takes case of most aspects of the day to day running of the practice. I think the staff at this level are now vital in practices so that Practice Managers can develop business skills to face these challenging times”
“Excellent delivery. I now feel that I am supported fully in my future role”
