What is levy?
Levy transfers were introduced to create long term sustainable funding for apprenticeships and give more control to provide their staff with a range of training opportunities. The apprenticeship levy is a form of taxation designed to help companies offer more apprenticeships.
An employer will pay the Apprenticeship levy if they have an annual pay bill of more than £3 million.
