DESCRIPTION:Polypharmacy and Over prescribing; the scale of the safety challenge and how we can address this in a busy primary care system. \nSpeaker: Clare Howard FFRPS FRPharmS and Q . Clinical Lead for the National Polypharmacy programme \nClare is a Senior Pharmacist with a background in clinical leadership of large\, cross sector change at both local and national level. Her 30-year career has focused on medication safety\, person centred care and improving prescribing especially in primary care. Clare is the clinical lead for the Health Innovation Polypharmacy Programme and works locally with Health Innovation Wessex. Clare is currently working with the RCGP and Royal Pharmaceutical Society looking at repeat prescribing systems. \nHow do I receive an invite? Register for the network meeting patientsafety@nhsdorset.nhs.uk \nWhat is the purpose of the network?  To provide a space for those working in General Practice to come together to communicate\, share best practice\, access training opportunities\, discuss “wicked issues” and reduce duplication of work.
