DESCRIPTION:Dr Ali Robins will lead this section\, which complies with Adult Safeguarding Training Level 3. The Care Act 2014 sets out a clear legal framework for how we all should protect adults at risk of abuse or neglect. This half day interactive workshop for primary care teams\, will look at the guidance\, and discuss a number of challenging safeguarding dilemmas\, to see how we can meet our statutory duties in practice. It will cover aspects of the assessment of individuals\, documentation (including READ coding)\, risk identification\, management and escalation\, as well as the local referral processes and inter agency working. \nSafeguarding Children – (1:15pm – 4:15pm)\nWendy Thorogood will lead this session\, which complies with Children’s Safeguarding Training Level 3. Wendy works locally and nationally\, and has worked with children for more than twenty-five years. DESCRIPTION:PHE are offering FREE locally tailored training sessions for doctors and other interested health care professionals in primary and secondary care. \n•PHE-trained facilitator \n•Practical\, interactive sessions based on the latest national and international data\, research and evidence \n•Flexible sessions offer groups of 20 and above with 1 to 2.5hours of CPD material shown to increase clinicians understanding\, confidence and expertise for clinical practice \n  \nVery brief advice on physical activity from healthcare professionals has been shown to improve clinical outcomes. This training focuses on practical tips to easily integrate this into every day clinical practice. 1 in 4 patients would be more active if advised by a GP or nurse. But as many as 72% of GPs do not speak about the benefits of physical activity to patients. There are a lot of resources out there to help. DESCRIPTION:This course is suitable for those working on a regular basis with people affected by loss\, grief and bereavement in any aspect of health and social care\, palliative or end of life care\, either on an employed or voluntary basis.
