DESCRIPTION:What is Mental Health First Aid?\nMental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an international recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of ill mental health and provide help on a first aid basis. \nMHFA won’t teach how to be a therapist\, but just like physical first aid\, it will teach you to listen\, reassure and respond\, even in a crisis. \nMHFA courses are for everyone aged 16 upwards. Every MHFA course is delivered by a quality assured instructor who ha attended our instructor Training programme accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health\, and is trained to keep people safe and supported why they learn. \nWhat will I learn? \nLearning takes place through a mix of group activities\, presentations and discussions. DESCRIPTION:This award is suitable for anyone wanting to undertake vocational training in End of Life Care; therefore\, the award is most suitable for staff working in care homes\, domiciliary care agencies and Health and Social care assistant roles \n\nIn conjunction with Bournemouth and Poole College and accredited by City and Guilds we offer this one day introduction to End of Life Care. \nThe Level 2 award covers: \nUnit 201: Understanding how to work in end of life care \nThis award is suitable for anyone wanting to undertake vocational training in End of Life Care; therefore\, the award is most suitable for staff working in care homes\, domiciliary care agencies and Health and Social care assistant roles. However\, all staff including Registered Nurses are able to enrol especially those new to EoLC \nThe unit is assessed through the completion of a workbook and all course materials and workbooks are provided. \nThe content of the workbook is covered entirely within the taught day.
