DESCRIPTION:This is a multi-day (consecutive) event.\nTimes: 09:00 – 16:30 \nFood is provided at this event. \nSpeakers\nDr Steve Blades \nRegistration 9.00am – 9.15 am                  Workshop 9.15am – 4.30pm ( lunch is provided) \nTuesday 11th September & Wednesday 12th September 2018 \nPrimary Care Leadership 2 –Day Course\n(part of our ‘Permission to Take Control’ series)  \nFor GPs\, Practice Managers\, ANPs\, Nurse Managers & anyone else in a leadership role within their Practice \nOnly 12 places available enabling this course to be highly interactive and giving the        trainer the opportunity to meet your individual needs\nPREMISE\nPrimary care is at the forefront of the NHS and facing major challenges. This demands leadership within practices and also in other roles e.g. commissioning\, provider organisations\, and educational roles.  There is a mass of leadership theory but what is relevant in this context? \nCONTENT\nWe review evidence about leadership. We share models and experience from working with many clinicians and managers across the NHS. We make this very practical to your working lives and encourage you to share your own experiences. \nAIMS\nFollowing the course participants will have: \n\nIncreased their understanding of the nature of leadership and management\nIncreased awareness of their personal style and strengths\nDeveloped their key leadership skills including influencing skills\nEnhanced skills to maximise their own productivity\, and improved time management and delegation\nThe knowledge and skills to run effective meetings\nGreater skills to manage and lead change\nImproved understanding of teams\, and enhanced skills in managing other people\n\nIt is essential that all delegates complete BOTH days of this 2-day course\nTRAINER\nThe programme will be led by Steve Blades who is an experienced GP with extensive clinical leadership and management experience. He now works mainly as a trainer and executive coach.
