SUMMARY:QOF QI - implementation of ‘care of people with learning disabilities’ module
DESCRIPTION:Event Overview \n\n\nWhen:       Tuesday 21 September 2021 | 18:30 – 19:30 | Online \nOverview:       This webinar is aimed at helping practice teams understand what they need to do to meet the requirements of the care of people with learning disabilities quality improvement module\, which is one of two Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) modules in 2021/22. The session will include an overview of QOF QI\, a discussion on the key aspects of the care of people with learning disabilities module\, guidance on what practices need to do and signposting to tools and resources. \nLearning objectives: \n\nAn introduction to QOF QI which includes information on 2021/22 modules\, what practices and PCNs need to do\nA better understanding of the content of the care of people with learning disabilities module and how to approach it. This includes:\n\nachieving more from your peer review meetings\noptions for how to plan and organise meetings to engage all stakeholders\nshowcasing and celebrating progress made between meetings and maximising shared learning.\n\n\nWhere to find resources which will support practices and PCNs carry out QI activity\n\nWho is it for:   Practice QI leads\, PCN QI leads\, and all members of practice clinical or admin teams interested in improving quality and patient outcomes\, those with an interest in QI in learning disabilities \nBackground:   Following NHS England’s review of QOF in 2017/18\, NHS England and the BMA’s General Practitioners Committee commissioned the RCGP\, NICE\, and the Health Foundation to develop QI modules for inclusion in the GMS contract. The QI QOF domain recommends the use of QI cycles to address priority areas. In 2019/20 this included modules focused on end-of-life care and prescribing safety. In 2021/22 QOF comprises two modules: the early diagnosis of cancer and care of people with learning disabilities. \nThis webinar is part of a series which explores how to carry out a QI project\, QI at PCN level and sessions on this year’s modules (cancer and learning disabilities). \nClick here for more information >>
