Safety Netting for COVID and Cancer in Primary Care
9 February 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Delivering good safety netting in consultations helps improve patient safety, reduces risk, and ensures medicolegally that a clinician can defend their actions in the event of a complaint or adverse outcome.
Dorset CCG has teamed up with Cancer Research UK to explore the importance of safety netting when it comes to the early diagnosis of cancer and explores how some of the main principles can also be applied to COVID, particularly when consulting remotely.
This session will demonstrate practical ways to review processes, shares resources and provides support to PCNs. It also includes a case study from a Dorset PCN based on their DES Early Diagnosis work. This session is aimed at clinicians within primary care but may also be beneficial for wider practice staff involved in practice systems.
Software: This is an online training that will be delivered on Microsoft Teams. Details of how to join the session will be available to participants after the registration is completed.
