Resilience & Resourcefulness Workshop
(Part of our ‘Permission to Take Control’series)
PREMISE
The Resilience and Resourcefulness Workshop aims to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to manage stress. The workshops are interactive, with an emphasis on applying effective coping techniques to build resilience and open to everyone working ingeneral practice. The workshop is completed over half a day and covers the following:
Stage 1: Developing awareness: how does resilience affect personal pressures and performance?
Stage 2: The toolkit: building resilience, relaxation techniques, and cognitive restructuring
Stage 3: Building a resilience plan
Stage 4: Preparing for the future and review.
AIMS
The aims and outcomes of the workshop are to:
- Understand resilience
- Learn tools to build resilience
- Build a resilience plan
- Identify support
- Identify how to implement the resilience and resourcefulness toolkit
OUTCOMES
- To understand how resilience can impact on performance and emotions
- To understand the resilience and resourcefulness toolkit
- To build an individual resilience and resourcefulness plan
- To consider how to use the toolkit in the future

These workshops are led by Dr. Abi Lucas (CPychol, AFBPsS)
PARKING
The medical centre is on the corner of Priory Road and Royston Road, opposite the co-op car park and close to Lloyds pharmacy SN3 2GD. You can also park in this car park all day free of charge.
