QCF Level 3 Award in End of Life Care
29 April 2019 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
In conjunction with Bournemouth and Poole College and accredited by City and Guilds we offer this three day award in End of Life Care.
The Level 3 Award is a knowledge based qualification made up of the QCF level 2 award plus an additional 2 units:
Unit 301: Understanding how to provide support when working in end of life care and
Unit 306: Understanding how to support individuals during the last days of life
Please note: those wanting to complete the Level 3 Award must first attend the level 2 study day.
This award is suitable for anyone wanting to undertake vocational training in End of Life Care; therefore, the award is most suitable for staff working in care homes, domiciliary care agencies and Health and Social care assistant roles. However, all staff including Registered Nurses are able to enroll especially those new to EoLC
The units are assessed through the completion of a workbook and all Course materials and workbooks are provided
The content of the workbook is covered entirely within the taught days. Time is given within the sessions for completion of the workbook and assessors review the learners work throughout the day so that no one goes away unsure whether they have completed the workbook at a suitable level.
Employers who provide data for the MNDS (Minimum National Data Sets) for social care can access Workforce Development Funding to claim back a proportion of the costs of the training.
