Neurolinguistic Programming for Primary Care Clinicians
This is a day of training in techniques distilled from years of experience of NLP, mindfulness and motivational interviewing. The learning will be in small groups, with maximum attendance of 20. All clinicians in Primary Care are welcome.
You will learn techniques to manage stress, help you do a better job and enjoy those interactions with patients a little more than before. You will learn through exercises and discussions with colleagues.
The day starts with learning what NLP is and how it can be helpful for some people. Moving on, we’ll discuss boundaries and how to firm them up and then learn a fantastic tool to gain perspective on difficult consultations. You will then experience an NLP technique to help you work from the best place possible, changing your own state of mind.
In the afternoon, we cover tools to help our consultations flow better. We will be focusing on our language and some of the ways we can sabotage our good intentions or instead, say things to empower pts.
We finish up with a technique to change unhelpful memories and remove the emotion from them which can help pts trapped and stuck in an unhelpful place.
