  • Physician Associate

    Current funding options:

    ARRS funding is currently available for Physicians Associates salary support at band 3. The maximum reimbursement rate is currently £26,236.

    There is also £5,000 available from Health Education England to support Physician Associates in their preceptorship year.


  • Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA)

    Current funding options:

    There is currently Health Education England (HEE) funding available for RNDA’s in Primary Care. £8,300 is available to employers for each year of the 3.5-year RNDA programme to cover back fill and other expenses.   This is only available to those who have commenced on the RNDA programme before the end of August 2021.

    HEE funding for RNDA top up programmes are also available. £8,000 per year can be claimed providing there is a commitment from employers that the apprentice will complete the programme by 31st March 2024.

    Additionally, funding for RNDAs on Learning Disabilities programme is available at £3,900 per year per apprentice.

  • Trainee Nursing Associate

    Funding options available:

    ARRS funding is currently available for Trainee Nursing Associates (TNA) salary support at band 3. The maximum reimbursement rate is currently £26,236

    There is £8,000 that can be claimed over the 2 year course (£4,000 per year) via Health Education England.

    To be eligible for this funding, the TNA must be employed by your Primary Care Network.
